Two Red Cross volunteers are in Boston to help treat emotional wounds caused by the bombings and manhunt.
Majorie Beldue is from Spencerport and Mary Kelly is from Brighton. Both are mental health professionals.
News10NBC was at the Greater Rochester International Airport Friday afternoon right before Beldue left.
She says it is important for people to know it's common to have strong emotional responses to tragic events.
Marjorie Beldue said, "Sometimes when people are in a horrific situation like this they start having emotional trauma and they think they are losing their minds, so the education that these are normal reactions to abnormal situations, is important for people to know."
