Running a 5K race is tough enough, but imagine doing while getting blasted with paint along the way. That's what happened Saturday morning during the Color Vibe 5K.
Runners took in off groups from the MCC Brighton Campus starting around 9:30 a.m.
As they passed through the course, runners were sprayed with paint at different stations along the way.
To enter the race, runners were required to pay $37, part of that money went to benefit the YMCA's Invest in Youth Campaign. The campaign helps lower income families afford YMCA memberships.
“Everyone came out. They're having a good time. The volunteers are out here having a great time spraying people. Our racers are full of high energy and it's turned out to be a great day,” said Marnie Buchsbaum, Marketing Manager for the YMCA of Greater Rochester.
Many of the runners this morning were sporting Boston Strong gear to show their support for those affected by the bombings earlier this week.
