A local restaurant owner used the taste of amazing meatballs to woo the film crew of the Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Bonnie Camarella says a film scout touched base with several businesses along East Avenue between Main Street and Scio Street to let them know they'd be filming in that area, starting Wednesday afternoon.
She says she was offered a reimbursement fee, but after he sampled her menu, she'll be feeding the film crew instead.
Bonnie Camarella, co-owner of Camarella's, said, "I fed him like a puppy. He's from New York. What did you feed him? I gave him an arancini, a panini, a meatball. I turned him into an Italian."
The city of Rochester says the Spider-Man 2 crew will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars while it is here filming. One hundred twenty thousand dollars alone will be on restaurant meals.
Camarella says she'll make about $350 off this gig, but she's more excited they'll get to taste her food.
