More than 350 customers were without power in Ontario after a single car crash Sunday morning.
State Police tell News10NBC that crash happened on Kenyon Road around 6:30 a.m.
Troopers say a male driver headed westbound when his vehicle went off the road and struck a telephone pole. The pole and power lines were knocked down as a result of the crash. The vehicle also rolled over several times after hitting the pole.
Investigators believe the driver fell asleep while he was operating the vehicle.
The down wires left more than 350 customers early Sunday morning. However, power was restored at around 10:30 a.m.
However, RG&E officials say that several customers are still without power until crews can put up a new pole. Officials also say that this is the second crash that has impacted power in the area on Sunday.
News10NBC is still waiting to hear about the condition of the driver and what charges might be pending.
