People in Gates were running, biking and swimming all to benefit a great charity on Sunday.
It was all part of the YMCA's annual Y-Athalon.
The Y-Athalon is a three part event that includes a 15 minute swim, a 15 minute stationary bike ride and a two mile run. There was also a separate triathlon for kids.
Organizers say their main focus was to make the event fun.
“We've been very excited. We've been having a lot of fun here. We've got music and bubbles and lots of fun things that we're trying to make fun for the participants to help encourage them to do their personal best here,” said race coordinator Jillian Beaman.
All the proceeds for Sunday's event goes to benefit the YMCA's Invest In Youth Campaign.
