Brockport senior Mike Myers carries a 96 average and says his older brother's work ethic inspires him to get good grades. He enjoys AP classes and even helped to build an electric car that placed 15th out of 80 in a national competition.

Michael Myers, Brockport Scholar Athlete, said, “I'm good at math and science. Technology class is good to take because you get into the areas of engineering.”

Mike will attend RIT and hopes to pursue a career in law enforcement.

Myers said, “I've always been running around doing sports. It's helped me learn a lot through the years.”

Mike is a three sport varsity athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball. His first love is baseball.

Myers said, “We'd play catch in the yard for hours. It's a great mental and physical challenge. It rolls everything into one.”

Mike is a wide receiver and linebacker of the football team. He catches for baseball. He is captain and is first-team All County for both sports.

Myers said, “It's a real honor to get from coaches. It goes to show what hard work can do for you.”

His hard work has paid off. Mike will continue his baseball career at RIT and says he's thrilled to stay close to home.
