The Monroe County Medical Examiner is expected to take the stand Thursday in the trial of a Rochester man accused of murdering a teen girl and dumping her body in a swimming pool in Irondequoit.
At this time, defense lawyers have not said if Devonte Lively will testify. The victim in this case, 17-year-old Larie Butler, was an East High School student.
On Wednesday, News10NBC saw text messages police say Lively sent the day Butler disappeared. An investigator testified that Lively asked the teen to come over to his house. According to the investigator, she replied that she wasn't sure because the two "had nothing to talk about."
One of Lively's friends, who works at Strong Memorial Hospital, also took the stand and said Lively called him saying he had a body. The friend also said Lively texted him asking if there was anything at Strong that would take blood out of a rug.
