“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” has been filming in downtown Rochester for the last 10 days and until Thursday, we haven't spotted the star of the film.
The filming has had an impact on traffic, causing some delays. But a lot of people say it's been worth it to have a major motion picture filmed in our area.
Many people were wondering when Spidey would make an appearance and he was on top of a cop car. News10NBC was not sure if it was Andrew Garfield or his stunt double though. Over the last week and a half, the production crew has filmed a number of chase and crash scenes along East Main Street. That forced a number of road closures and traffic detours.
So many on-lookers said this was the closest they've gotten to seeing the production so far. This was not the first visit for many fans and many hope this won't be Hollywood's last visit to Rochester.
Deborah Parrish-Hill said, “I always thought Spiderman was dreamy. My daughter is in theater so I like the theater and movies and I'm also a teacher so I thought I'd bring some pictures back to my class tomorrow.”
Dylan Domenico said, “Just with school and stuff I haven't had a chance to come and I figured the last day would probably be cool. “
Alexa Kapitan said, “I think it's exciting be cause it's in Rochester usually doesn't get like, this usually doesn't happen in Rochester. I'm very sad to see it go.”
Production will wrap up around 9:00p.m.
