A special ceremony was held Wednesday morning to honor our fallen heroes.
The Wall of Remembrance is a permanent display in the plaza of the Public Safety Building on Plymouth Avenue in Rochester.
The wall has the name of 11 men and women from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office who died in the line of duty.
News10NBC caught up with a woman whose mother is honored on the wall. Cari Crawford said, "It means a lot. It means a lot for me and my family and it is just an honor that she is remembered after all these years. It is great. It makes us feel good."
Cari's mother, Catherine was a deputy sheriff jailor corporal who was injured while breaking up a fight in 1993. She died from her injuries in 1995.
