Google is fighting mad about Microsoft's YouTube app for its phones. The search engine turned internet and phone service has sent a cease and desist letter to Microsoft demanding it remove the YouTube app from its Windows phone platform.
Google, which owns YouTube, is upset because the Windows platform prevents the display of advertisements on the YouTube app. Google is giving Microsoft until next Wednesday to remove the application from the Windows phone store and disable existing downloads.
Windows 8 users will still have access to a fully-functional YouTube application through the web browser.
