Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks said, “This incident serves as a reminder of the danger that Monroe County’s dedicated Probation Officers put themselves in each and every day to help law enforcement keep our streets and our families safe. Firing a weapon at any public safety official is absolutely unacceptable and reprehensible. It is my expectation that the suspect will soon feel the full force and ability of the Rochester Police Department and the Monroe County Department of Probation and be brought to justice accordingly.”
