News10NBC is following breaking news out of Washington State where a bridge over a river collapsed on Thursday night.
The bridge is between Burlington and Mount Vernon.
Our affiliate in Seattle is reporting that three people had to be pulled out of the water and that no one has died. Washington State Police say the bridge is a portion of Interstate 5, which you may know runs all the way up and down the west coast.
All lanes are closed right now. The reason for the collapse is still under investigation. The state Transportation Department says it's investigating whether an oversized load may have struck the bridge.
News10NBC will continue to follow this story and post updates on www.whec.com
