A flood watch is in effect through 11 p.m. Friday night in Ontario, Monroe and Wayne counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Spotty heavy rainfall is possible today through this evening, with an associated upper level low front moving slowly across western New York. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the today. These thunderstorms will be slow-moving and may produce localized areas of very heavy rainfall and flooding.
Also impacted are Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Livingston, Niagara, northern Cayuga, northern Erie, Orleans, southern Erie, and Wyoming counties.
