Some of Santa's helpers took a break from their summer vacation on Sunday to help a good cause.
The Blue Knights Motorcycle Club made a very special "Christmas in July" stop at the Golisano Children's Hospital Sunday morning.
More than 40 motorcyclists and their guests took part in the event. They say they know how much their donations mean to the patients and families.
“We know at Christmas time, everyone thinks about kids in the hospital and you know, it's unfortunate they are in the hospital at Christmas time. But we wanted to make sure that the kids are thought of when it's summer time and kids want to go out any play and be outside doing fun stuff and they are stuck in the hospital when it's nice out. So we want to make sure they have fun things to do,” said Laurie Kingsley-Henry, member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.
Organizers say more than 700 items were donated Sunday.
