The Rochester Air Show may have been canceled due to government cutbacks, but pilots at the Geneseo Air Show are still set to soar this weekend.
You'll see all kinds of vintage and military planes on display and flying through the sky. Back down on Earth, there is lots to see and do as part of the Geneseo Summer Festival.
Organizers tell News10NBC, they expect big crowds and say it's all about having fun.
Museum president Austin Wasworth, "The weather is great and as you know the sequester kind of killed the Rochester show. So if people are looking for am air show were hoping they'll come here."
Performer Rob Holland says, "What I love about the air shows is mostly the people and obviously the flying I love the flying, the freedom, the engines, the experience"
The Geneseo Air Show is Friday through Sunday at the Geneseo Air Field. Tickets are $20, kids 12 and under are free. For more information, click here.
