News10NBC is continuing its weekly career watch segment on News10NBC. The goal is to help those of you looking to land that perfect job.
On Thursday, we talked about group interviews. They can be intimidating. Our expert, Jill Knittel from Employee Relations Associates, says it is important for employers to see how you interact with others and potential co-workers. Make sure you make eye contact with everyone in the room when answering questions. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions of your own.
Jill Knittel said, "The thing I've seen people not do well is answer the question directly because they're afraid that if they answer a question too strongly or one way or the other that it won't be right. I think that most people who interview in group settings are really looking for the communication style, it's a lot of soft skills that they're looking for in the interview much more so than the answer itself."
