Scott is an award-winning news anchor who brings nearly two decades of experience to the News10NBC team in Rochester. He is excited to return to the state where he spent his formative childhood years.
While Scott was earning his degree in Journalism at the University of Arizona, he worked as a Teaching Parent in the residence halls at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB). In addition to teaching hearing-impaired students, he relished coaching athletics and announcing games for visually-impaired fans. It was at ASDB where he met Teresa, his wife of 20 years.
Scott’s first position in television was as Sports Director and anchor in Missoula, Montana. Scott continued to cover sports in Montana, Nebraska, and Arizona, for 13 years before moving over to the news desk to anchor the morning news in Tucson, Arizona. He enjoyed the early hours at Tucson’s CBS affiliate for almost four years, especially since the schedule allowed him to coach his son’s basketball team. For the past two years Scott has anchored the evening 4pm and 9pm newscasts. Scott is a proud recipient of several Associated Press awards and four regional Emmy awards.
Scott enjoys hiking, skiing, basketball and fishing. He is thrilled to return to his old stomping grounds.
