Rochester Gas and Electric officials say they made good progress overnight and were able to restore power to almost 6,000 customers.
Power has been completely restored to all customers in Monroe County following Friday night's storms that rolled through the area. In Wayne County there only about 20 customers still in the dark.
The storms knocked out power to thousands of customers in both counties and forced RG&E crews to work around the clock to restore power.
RG&E officials say the company is offering help to those without power. Officials distributed dry ice and water to customers in Wayne and Cayuga counties on Sunday.
News10NBC stopped by the Sodus Fire station Sunday and fire officials say they're happy to see the support that RG&E has offered the customers who have been dealing with power outages throughout the weekend.
"I think it's really great that they're pitching in to help the residents in Wayne County,” said Kit Wahl, Sodus Fire Department.
