A Rochester couple and their daughter are the co-winners of a $10.7-million Lotto jackpot.

Warren and Joan Chase of Rochester and their daughter, Darcy Frisina of Ithaca, will split the jackpot with a second winner in Bronx, NY. Their prize total is $5.3-million.

Chase says he bought the winning ticket at Baytown Liquor in Webster where he routinely purchases tickets every Tuesday and Thursday.

How did they share the news with their family?:
The Chases said they waited to tell family members until they could meet in person and they made plans to get together for lunch.  “I told them I needed to tell them something first,” said Chase. “They thought one of us was dying!” He said he and his wife offered to split the jackpot with their daughter Darcy, a stay at home mom, while still at lunch. Frisina, 39, said she was thrilled with the offer and added, “It will make life comfortable.”

Lotto officials tell News10NBC the family opted to receive one lump sun payment totaling $3,404,922 which represents the cash value of the jackpot. The Chases will split 75-percent of the lump sum amount and give Frisina 25-percent.
