The Great New York State Fair is just about two weeks away. News10NBC wanted to know what's new for 2013.
Fair officials say there are new acts performing at the fair Grandstand and at Chevy Court.
There are also four new rides on the Midway.
The State Agriculture Commissioner also tells News10NBC there will be an emphasis on products made in New York State.
“With the Taste NY program that we're unveiling at the fair, we're promoting New York State foods of all kinds and we're promoting things like the new wine and cheese contest ,which is new at this year's fair,” said Darrel Aubertine, State Agriculture Commisioner.
If you're looking for something a little more unique at the fair, one of this year's new foods may grab your attention. Fair officials say you can buy and eat a chicken-glazed donut. They say word of this food is already creating a lot of buzz.
This year's fair is August 22 through September 2 at the fairgrounds in Syracuse.
