A man and woman are safe and sound after a three hour rescue mission in the Genesee River gorge.
This is the second time in a week crews had to pull people to safety near Maplewood Park in Rochester.
Firefighters say the man and woman were walking in the gorge and got stuck around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. It took crews more than three hours to get where they were and lower them into a boat. They made it to safety just after 11:30 p.m.
The woman hurt her foot but otherwise they are both okay.
