If you travel on the New York State Thruway, be prepared for temporary road closures and slow traffic on Thursday and Friday due to President Obama’s visit.

According to our affiliate in Buffalo, twelve exits between Buffalo and Syracuse will all likely be impacted during the President's 2 hour and 15 minute trip. As the motorcade goes through each exit, traffic will be stopped from getting on the Thruway.

State Police say be ready for last minute changes in travel plans.

President Obama is expected to visit the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse areas as well as other parts of upstate. News10NBC has not confirmed where he will be stopping in Rochester, if at all. We will continue to track this story and post any updates on our website.
