Candidates make final push prior to Tuesday's primary

Both Democratic mayoral candidates are hitting the streets Saturday morning in the final push before next week's primary.

Mayor Tom Richards and City Council President Lovely Warren will be working for votes Saturday morning. Mayor Richards took part in a "Get Out and Vote" rally which included the mayor and other city council and school board democratic candidates. Congresswoman Louise Slaughter was also on hand to show her support. He is also scheduled to go out and meet with voters following the rally.

Council President Warren, on the other hand, took part in the Women's Health Screening Fair at the Public Market. Her supporters will also be going door-to-door speaking with voters, after the fair. Warren is scheduled to be taking part in a number of events throughout the weekend.

Both candidates are seeking the democratic nomination in this Tuesday's primary. News10NBC also spoke with both candidates on Saturday and you will hear from them on News10NBC at 6.

Following the primary, both candidates will also be taking on Green party candidate Alex White. White is the co-chair of the local Green party and is also the owner of Boldo's Armory.
