Teaching Girl Scouts to be the best they can be. That's what the Girl Scouts of Western New York's Leadership Breakfast Series was all about Friday morning.
The featured speaker was Judy Smith, who's been called "America's Best Crisis Communication Expert". She was introduced by a local Girl Scout. Smith worked as a special assistant and deputy press secretary to President George H.W. Bush. Her message to the girls was all about turning bad into good.
"This was an opportunity for her to really teach us skills, techniques, to answer questions about how we put our best foot forward as leaders and encourage girls to be the best they can be," said Cindy Odom, CEO, Girl Scouts of Western NY.
Smith is also promoting her book, "Good Self, Bad Self."
