A few local hockey players spent time with some area students Tuesday.
Players from the Amerks had a chance to chat and read with students at the School of the Holy Childhood. They also played a game of floor hockey. School leaders say it's a great way to talk with students about a variety of activities.
Kathy Miller, School of the Holy Childhood Assistant Principal, said, "It fosters the conversation about what people do for fun and a living. How we can spend time together enjoying different things."
The event was part of the Amerks' Community Assist Week.
