A 33-year-old Bloomfield woman is facing animal cruelty charges.

Sheriff’s deputies say they received several complaints of neglected and malnourished horses and livestock on County Road 40 in the Town of Richmond. As a result of the investigation, 14 horses, two cows, a sheep and a goat were found to be in need of medical attention and veterinary care.

The animals were seized and their caretaker, Lindsay Kuhn, was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court at a later date.

The animals remain in the care of the Humane Society.
