While many people are celebrating Halloween this week, many more are worried about having enough food to eat.

On Sunday the Town of Pittsford held it's annual Family Halloween Festival that benefits the Pittsford Food Cupboard.

The festival is a trick-or-treating alternative featuring games, activities and a costume parade.

All you had to do to get in was bring a canned food item to donate to the Food Cupboard.

“It's a terrific family event. It helps bring families together. It brings awareness about the mission of the Pittsford Food Cupboard. We've been here for fifteen years in the old Pickle Factory serving food to people who really need a hand during tough times,” said Anita Conlon, Pittsford Food Cupboard Director.

Even though people were only asked to bring one canned food item, News10NBC is told many people brought several items each.

The Family Halloween Festival is now in its 11th year.
