Providing senior citizens, caregivers and service providers an opportunity to talk about proposed changes to funded programs. That's the idea behind Wednesday morning's Office of the Aging Public Forum at Eagle Vale Country Club.
Organizers hold a meeting each year to update the community on any new developments and they also outline the roadmap for all of their programs and services. This year, the theme was transportation.
Julie Aldrich, Monroe County Office for the Aging, said,"We're trying to ensure that we're still able to meet the needs of the older individuals in the community as well as their caregivers and not have any cut in service even though there has been cuts in funding, so we're trying to find other ways of doing business so we can still meet the need in the community."
This was the final year of the organization's four year plan. So next year, organizers will star another four year plan.
