A Macedon Police officer is facing charges.

Macedon Police say 38-year-old Edward O'Konsky of Farmington removed a piece of evidence from the police department for his own personal use and stole nearly $2,200 from the Macedon Association of Police Officers over the course of a year.

O'Konsky is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records, official misconduct, two counts of tampering with physical evidence and petit larceny. He was arraigned on the charges and is due back in court next month.

News10NBC is told O'Konsky has been suspended without pay by the Macedon Town Board.
