A Rochester man has been arrested and charged with robbing the Tim Horton's on Mt. Hope Avenue early Thursday morning.

Christopher Williams Jr., 18, of Rochester, was charged with robbery and grand larceny.

Employees tell police that Williams entered the store more than once throughout the evening and that the last time he came into the store was around 1:00 a.m. Police say Williams then came around the counter and grabbed one of the employees, putting a knife to her throat and then demanded money. Officers say another employee attempted to stop Williams with a knife, but was unsuccessful.

Police say Williams forced open the cash register and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say this robbery does not appear to be related to the incident involving a UR student on Tuesday evening.
