All week long we asked you to tell us which local brew was the best and your voice was heard!

The finalists were Rohrbach Brewing Company's Scotch Ale, Genesee Brewing Company's Genny Light, Naked Dove Brewing Company's Porter, Three Heads Brewing's The Kind, CB Craft Brewers' Caged Alpha Monkey and Naked Dove won with 31-percent of the vote.

The Naked Dove crew got up early to show off the tasting room and brewery. We asked them how they got their start -- and what makes the porter so unique.

Founder Dave Schlosser said, “We're using five different types of roasted malt to give it that deep rich robust flavor. You get some chocolate, some coffee, a little smokiness and it really changes as you're drinking it.”

Founder Don Cotter said, “We always talked about beer, we always drank beers together and we said at some point we got to start doing this for ourselves.”

Cotter and Schlosser met each other working at Genesee Brewery. While they were there, they developed the Dundee line of beers. Now they're taking craft brewing to a whole new level at Naked Dove and this weekend they're celebrating three years.
