You might remember the controversial video News10NBC first brought you earlier this year featuring Benny Warr. He said he was a victim of police brutality, saying he was attacked by officers.

Now Warr is the subject of a new documentary that tells the story of the controversial arrest and his experience since. The film is called “I Declare War.”

News10NBC spoke with Arthur Brooks, who is a junior at the College at Brockport and the director of the film.

"I was inclined to make this movie because the images of Benny being arrested captivated me and I really wanted to inform everyone about urban issues, which is my main concern as a news reporter, a documentarian and an individual,” said Brooks.

Brooks created the documentary as a Brockport independent study project.
