Police say slippery conditions were to blame for a seven car crash on the Bausch Street Bridge on the city's north side.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Police say the crash injured nine people and eight of them were taken to the hospital, all with minor injuries.
According to Rochester Police the wet road, high winds and low temperatures combined to create a large icy condition on the road, causing the drivers to lose control near the east side of the bridge.
Officials say five of the vehicles involved in the crash had to be towed from the scene and the bridge was closed for several hours Saturday.
