Mayor-Elect Lovely Warren has announced more executive staff choices for her administration, and has said she will conduct a national search for Chief of Police.

Warren had previously reached out to Dr. Cedric Alexander to discuss the position. Dr. Alexander was the Rochester Police Chief in 2005 and is currently the Police Chief in DeKalb County, Georgia. In a statement Monday night, Warren said, "It became clear that we could not compete financially with an offer made by his current employer."

The Mayor-Elect has decided to conduct a national search for the next Chief of Police. Until a candidate is identified, Deputy Chief Michael L. Ciminelli will serve as Acting Chief.

The most recent additions to Warren's administration include:

Dr. Delmonize Smith, Commissioner, Neighborhood and Business Development. Dr. Smith is an associate professor of management at the Saunders College of Business, and is also the inaugural director of RIT's Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (CUE).

T. Andrew Brown, Esq., Corporation Counsel. Brown is the Managing Partner of Brown & Hutchinson.

C. Mitchell Rowe, Director of Planning and Zoning. Rowe currently serves as the County Manager for Seneca County.

Mayor-Elect Warren was unavailable for comment due to her current illness.
