Local representatives are in Albany Monday for the start of the 2014 legislative session.

The Assembly has already introduced legislation to speed the minimum wage hike so it increases to $9 an hour by the end of the year. That is a full year ahead of schedule.

Also on the agenda this session are topics Governor Cuomo talked about in his State of the State address. That includes all day pre-k, tax breaks for businesses and the location of up to seven upstate casinos on non-Indian land.

Pat Taney will be covering today’s session and he has a special New York State Exposed report on the attendance rate of our local legislators. Join us tonight at 5 and 6 for his report.
