News10NBC has new information about Governor Cuomo’s plan to give tax breaks to businesses set up on college campuses.

It’s called Start Up New York and Monroe Community College has been approved as one of the locations of those tax free zones. It exempts certain types of businesses from property, state and income taxes as long as that business aligns with the mission of the college where it is located.

School leaders say they've identified a few locations for these businesses, including a portion of the new downtown campus and five vacant plots of land the college owns in Brighton and Henrietta.
