Webster Central School District Superintendent announces resignation

Webster Central School District Adele Bovard is stepping down from her post in Webster to become Deputy Superintendent for Administration at the Rochester City School District.

The Webster Board of Education accepted Bovard’s resignation during its meeting Tuesday night.

"The Webster Central School District Board of Education wishes Ms. Bovard the best in the future and we thank her for her efforts over the past several years," said Mike Suffoletto, Webster Board of Education President. "We appreciate the many efforts to improve student achievement and continue the tradition of academic excellence at Webster Central School District."

Officials in the Webster school district tell us they will be meeting to appoint an acting superintendent and come up with a plan to find her replacement.

Bovard starts her role in the Rochester City School District on August 1.
