Nasima Khan says not much has changed for girls and women since she was growing up in rural Pakistan. Nasima's father moved the family from a village to a larger city so his daughters would have the chance to attend school.
So the Taliban's attempted assassination of Malala Yousufzai, a young activist, is not surprising to the Khans. They say it's heartbreaking, "She's not my relative but she's a human being from my country a 14 year old girl."
