Saratoga County budget announced

BALLSTON SPA - Saratoga County has announced its tentative budget for 2013, and it calls for a small cut in spending.

County leaders unveiled the proposal Wednesday morning at a news conference in Ballston Spa.

The county plans to spend $300 million, about $5 million less than this year.

Despite the decrease, property taxes will go up 6 cents for every $1,000 of assessed value.
