ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say two young men who drove through Albany shooting people with a BB gun have been sentenced to prison.
Judge Dan Lamont sentenced 19-year-old Nicholas McGraw to eight years in state prison for first-degree attempted assault. Twenty-year-old Joshua Weldon got five years for second-degree assault.
Prosecutors say one victim suffered a permanent eye injury last December when the men fired from their vehicle.
A second victim was hit in the chin.
The next day, McGraw shot another passer-by in the thigh.
District Attorney P. David Soares says they were looking for "innocent victims" and should have known they would cause serious injuries.
