Albany Police investigate shooting

ALBANY – Police are investigating a Monday evening shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m, in the 100 block of Second Avenue.

Police say a 36-year-old man was shot in the shoulder.

He was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police had surrounded a home in the area for part of the evening, thinking a suspect may have been inside.

No one was found there.

No arrests have been made.
