SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - A jury has convicted a Schenectady, N.Y., woman of stabbing a neighbor to death after a dispute over loud music.
Police responding to a December dispute at a two-story house found 26-year-old Latoya Ebron wounded. She died at a hospital.
Police say Ebron went upstairs to the flat of Tina Karuzas to ask her to turn down her music. Later, when the music still wasn't turned down, police say Ebron went back upstairs and the women started arguing. Karuzas, now 28 years old, stabbed Ebron once in the stomach. She told police it was in self-defense when Ebron tried to hit her.
A jury convicted her of first-degree manslaughter Thursday. She faces up to 25 years in prison.
