Grand jury considers more serious charges in child's death

WARREN COUNTY - A grand jury in Warren County spent much of Monday hearing testimony in the case of a five year-old boy who died over the weekend.

24-year old Brandon Warrington was charged with assault Friday in an alleged attack on his girlfriend's son, Gary Carpenter.

The little boy died Saturday at Albany Med.

A grand jury is considering more serious charges, possibly even murder.

The child's mother, Jennie Mattison, is charged with reckless endangerment. She's accused of not seeking medical attention for her son.
