Saratoga officer arrested after altercation

SARATOGA SPRINGS - A Saratoga Springs police officer has been charged with assault following an off-duty altercation at a bar on Caroline Street.

A man claims he was attacked last week by three off-duty officers.

Edward Braim was charged Tuesday morning.

His attorney says the charges are an over-reaction. He says if Braim was not a police officer, he would have not been charged.

Two other officers have been suspended pending an internal investigation.
