Police: Man leads high speed chase after failed robbery attempt

WILTON - Wednesday afternoon at Saratoga Wine and Spirits in Wilton, a state trooper says he noticed a man covering his face as he walked in.

Moments later the owner came screaming out, followed by the suspect.

They say that suspect is 36-year-old Yvon Majeus.

Police say he tried to rob the store and a person inside and then led police on a high speed chase up Route 9.

Eventually, they say he got out of the car and took off.

He was caught a short time later near Route 9 and Ballard Road.
