CLIFTON PARK - More information has been found about the driver who police say caused the Shenendehowa crash that killed two teens, and left two more seriously injured.

NewsChannel 13 has confirmed that 22-year-old Dennis Drue of Clifton Park is a student at Siena College.

Police say the SUV that teens were traveling in went out of control and rolled over after being rear-ended by Drue’s vehicle.

So far, he has not been charged, but State Police say he was speeding, and had been drinking alcohol at the time of the crash.

But, prosecutors say they need toxicology test results to determine what kind of charges can be filed, because the screening done at the time of the crash isn't enough.

DA Jim Murphy says he anticipates lab results will come back by the end of this week or possibly over the weekend.

"The Alcosensor Screening Device, which is a very, very rudimentary device that only measures the presence of alcohol. It doesn't give us a calibrated number, tested positive for alcohol. Not admissible. Can not be used as a basis for a charge, so we need something more specific than just that," he said.

Murphy says he anticipates lab results will come back by the end of this week or possibly over the weekend.

Eyewitness accounts and accident reconstruction reports from the scene will also be factors in the case.
