Former New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi is a free man.
He was released from prison this morning, after serving 20 months for his leading role in a scandal at the state's massive pension fund.
As comptroller, Hevesi was sole trustee of the fund now valued at nearly $150 billion.
The 72-year-old was granted parole in November.
He was released from prison in Oneida County around eight Wednesday morning.
