Firefighters honored by Albany County executive

There was a tribute to five area firefighters Tuesday night

Members of the Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Department were presented citations from Albany County Executive Dan McCoy in appreciation for their assistance and recovery effort downstate following Superstorm Sandy.

The local firefighters said they made lots of new friends with people from all across the state, while helping to spread the message of "brothers helping brothers."
