ALBANY - National Grid and Catholic Charities are teaming up to help people in the Capital Region pay their heating bills.

The National Grid Foundation presented a check Monday to Catholic Charities for 65-thousand-dollars. It's the fifth annual grant to help those in need with emergency energy costs.

The donation will help meet the emergency energy needs of families in the 14 counties served by Catholic Charities.

The Agency is projecting a ten percent increase in demand this year, because of higher unemployment and more people living in poverty.
