Stolen dog returned to owners, three charged in theft

QUEENSBURY - Three people are under arrest in Warren County in connection with a stolen dog worth $2,500.

Police say the Cavalier King Charles spaniel was stolen from Happy Tails on Friday.

Monday, they found the dog at the John Burke Apartments.

21-year-old Shawn Hewitt and 22-year-old Gabrielle VanBrielle are charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

They also arrested 23-year-old Travis LaPlant. He was wanted in a different case.

The dog was returned to its owner.
